Karapat Dive Gran Canaria
Karapat Dive is an SSI certified diving school on Calle Tenesoya in Telde, on the east coast of Gran Canaria. Its programme runs from try dives and the Basic Diver course through Open Water, Advanced and Rescue to the professional grades, alongside specialities such as nitrox, buoyancy, navigation, night diving and wreck diving. The premises include a pool, changing rooms, a classroom and a shop.

The school teaches under the SSI system and takes divers from their first breath underwater through to guide, divemaster and instructor level. Beginners can start with the Try Scuba session, the Basic Diver introductory dive or a snorkelling course. The centre states that no previous experience is needed and that an entry level course can be finished in about three days.
All the kit needed is supplied by the centre, so participants bring only a swimming costume, a towel and sun cream. Dives are spread over some twenty sites around the island, among them the Arona, Kos Island, Angela Pando and Meteor II wrecks, the Atlántida and Arguineguín reefs, and coastal spots such as El Cabrón, Tufia, La Catedral, Risco Verde, Taliarte, Pasito Blanco and Caleta Abajo.
