Flipper Uno
A boat excursion operator based at the Los Gigantes marina, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. It runs three vessels, Flipper Uno, Masca Express and Los Rápidos, and devotes its sailings to watching whales and dolphins off the south-west of Tenerife. An official cetacean observation guide travels on board. Places are booked through the website or by telephone.
Sailings leave from the Los Gigantes marina and follow the south-western coast beneath the cliffs, with swimming stops in coves such as Masca, Barranco Seco or Juan López, depending on the trip chosen. The Flipper Uno itself takes a maximum of ninety-one passengers.
The operator separates shorter crossings from a longer sailing that includes a meal on board, with chicken and vegetable paella, fruit and drinks forming part of the programme. Information is published in Spanish, English, German, Dutch, French and Russian, and booking in advance is required.
