Buceo Norte Gran Canaria
Buceo Norte Gran Canaria is a dive centre at Playa de Sardina, in the municipality of Gáldar in the north of Gran Canaria. It is an SSI centre and runs the whole progression, from a first try dive to professional qualifications, with the theory available online. It also teaches freediving courses, guides dives around the island and organises outings with underwater scooters.
The Sardina del Norte area holds most of the diving and nearly all of it is entered from the shore, over sand and volcanic rock at moderate depths. Angel sharks, garden eels, seahorses, gorgonians, giant anemones, moray eels and several species of ray turn up there. For divers with more experience there are caves, arches and deeper passages.
The catalogue is completed by wrecks reached by boat and by sites on the east coast, in the Arinaga area. Buceo Norte Gran Canaria was the first centre on the island to hold the SSI Diamond certification and is the only one on Gran Canaria with an instructor trainer. It works in Spanish and English, and has certified more than three thousand two hundred students.

It runs surf and bodyboard lessons for beginners, improvers and advanced surfers, plus paddle surf and paddle yoga courses. The school keeps two premises, the surf base on calle Perú and the paddle surf base on calle Alfredo L. Jones.
