Parque Taoro
Historic landscaped park above Puerto de la Cruz, with waterfalls, palm trees and viewpoints over the sea.

Above Puerto de la Cruz stretch the gardens of Parque Taoro, the town's great historic park, which grew up around the old Gran Hotel Taoro, one of the first luxury hotels in the Canaries. Today it is a haven of walks among palm trees, flower beds, ponds and the famous Taoro waterfalls, with viewpoints looking out over the old town, the Orotava valley and the Atlantic. Free to enter, it is a calm and very photogenic visit, perfect for an unhurried stroll at any time of day.
