It is an open-air site, reached on foot by a signposted path from Las Tricias.

The archaeological and ethnographic complex of Buracas was discovered in 1941 and occupies the lower stretch of the Barranco del Corchete, in the municipality of Garafía. It is made up of several natural cave settlements laid out on three levels, three groups of petroglyphs with geometric motifs worked with the picado technique, in which spirals and meanders stand out, and several burial grounds. Some of the caves were later reused as dwellings and as livestock shelters.
The La Palma Biosphere Reserve listing notes that the surrounding area holds the finest dragon tree grove in the whole of the Canary Islands. On foot it is reached by a well signposted path from the hamlet of Las Tricias; by road, a track runs close to the ravine, leaving about five minutes on foot. This is an open-air site, spread across the sides of the ravine.
