Playa del Castillo (Caleta de Fuste)
Some 600 metres of fine pale sand in a sheltered bay at Caleta de Fuste on the east coast of Fuerteventura, about ten minutes from the island's airport.

Playa del Castillo runs for about 600 metres of fine, pale sand at Caleta de Fuste, in the municipality of Antigua on the eastern coast of Fuerteventura. It occupies a sheltered bay whose water is usually calm, and the Cabildo's official tourism site lists it among the most family-oriented beaches on the island. It takes its name from the eighteenth-century castle standing next to it, which is listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural. Windsurfing and diving are practised in the area, and marine wildlife is regularly spotted here.
The beach is roughly ten minutes from Fuerteventura airport and can be reached by bus (guagua) or taxi, with a bus stop beside the sand. Facilities include sunbed and parasol hire, a car park, public toilets and showers and a tourist information point, along with a seafront promenade lined with restaurants and apartments. Its position makes it as workable for a short stop on arrival or before a flight out as for a full day by the sea.
