Playa de Santiago
One of La Gomera's largest beaches, in the southern municipality of Alajeró, with volcanic sand and calm waters beside a former fishing village.

Playa de Santiago stretches along the southern coast of La Gomera, beside the harbour and marina of the fishing town of the same name. It is one of the island's widest beaches, with dark volcanic sand and pebbles.
The south tends to have calmer sea conditions, and the clear water is good for snorkelling and diving. The village keeps its maritime character, with a seafront promenade, terraces and amenities that make it comfortable for a full day out.
