Transvulcania Bike 2026: stage 4 La Tea and PequeBike, Tijarafeverified

La Tea is the fourth and final stage of the Transvulcania Bike 2026, held on La Palma from 12 to 15 November, starting and finishing in Tijarafe. It opens with a 4 km neutralised section on tarmac, followed by an 11.3 km climb on tarmac, concrete wheel tracks and forest track around the Montaña de Los Riveroles and up through pine forest to the Reventón de Puntagorda at 1,550 m, the stage's high point. It descends the Cortafuegos de Hizcagua track, loops around the Las Tricias mountain and heads back towards Tijarafe on the La Traviesa track, between vineyards, almond trees and small farms; from the Refugio de Tinizara a long descent on trails through pine forest, forest tracks and concrete wheel tracks leads down to the centre of Tijarafe.

The long course covers 43 km with 1,667 m of climbing; the short one 16.81 km and 618 m, with an aid station at the Montaña de Los Riveroles. On the same day, at 09:15, the PequeBike sets off: a circular urban course of about 1.2 km for children aged 4 to 14, starting and finishing in the Plaza de Candelaria, where the youngest ride one lap and older children more; entry is free and opens in the month before the race. Programme for Sunday 15 November 2026: bib collection from 07:30 to 08:30, only for riders who could not collect it on Saturday; technical service from 08:00 to 08:30; start pens form at 08:40, the stage starts at 09:00 and the PequeBike at 09:15. The first rider on the short course is expected at around 09:50 and on the long course at around 10:50; the post-race meal is at 12:00, and the prize-giving and finish closing are at 13:00.
