The Teatro Leal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna presents ‘Por la gracia’, by Impromadrid, as part of Canarias Improvisa 2026. With more than twenty years of work behind it, Impromadrid is one of the companies that has helped to establish theatrical improvisation as a stage discipline in its own right, and it has taken its shows to theatres and festivals in Spain and abroad.
‘Por la gracia’ starts from a question: how would a Siglo de Oro play sound if it were written at the very moment it is performed. The show is a journey into classical theatre by way of improvisation, where suggestions from the audience inspire a completely new story at every performance. Verse, tangled plots, humour and memorable characters come together in a piece that pays homage to the great authors of Spanish literature and turns every performance into a premiere. It takes place on Thursday 12 November 2026 at 21:00 at the Teatro Leal, at a price of 12 €.
