A monologue by Hovik Keuchkerian at the Teatro Leal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. The comedian returns to stand up after more than fifteen years away from the comedy circuit, with a sharp and searching voice that at times leaves the audience uncomfortable. War, intolerance, extremism, the absence and the excess of humanity and the manipulation of societies are among his subjects. Tickets: 30 €.

There is probably nowhere in the world where freedom of expression carries as much value, sense and meaning as on stage when a comedian steps onto it. Hovik Keuchkerian returns to stand up after more than fifteen years away from the comedy circuit, and he does so with Grito, a show in which he reconnects with his essence as a comedian and recovers a sharp, searching voice that at times will leave the audience uncomfortable.

In a text he fires off like a constant burst, he moves into the very centre of the great subjects of present day social reality: war, intolerance, extremism, the absence of humanity, the excess of humanity and the manipulation to which societies are subjected, all handled with his particular caustic humour and his force on stage. Above all Grito is an exercise in communion, an invitation to look at the world and at ourselves without the limits imposed by the ideas of those who hold power. The performance takes place at the Teatro Leal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna on Sunday 24 January 2027 at 19:00, with tickets at 30 €.
