Fiestas de Agosto de Alcalá 2026 en honor a Nuestra Señora de Candelariaverified
Five days of fiestas in Alcalá, 12 to 16 August: the queen's gala, a variety festival, a rave, a sea procession, an open-water swim and fireworks over the harbour.
Wednesday 12. 06:00 a rain of rockets announces the start of the fiestas, followed by a parade through the main streets with the Kimbara comparsa. At the harbour, 11:00 to 14:00 water and land castles and a foam party; 12:00 to 14:00 live music; 14:00 to 17:00 DJ Julián Arteaga. At 21:00, the gala to choose the adult queen of Alcalá 2026, directed by Germán Herrera and Esteban Trujillo and hosted by Ángela Cairós, with dance groups Compañía 93 and Anabel Melián, comedy from Omayra Cazorla and a performance by Kevin Bury. Afterwards, a big dance with Orquesta Saoco, DJ Javi Plasencia and Dorada Band.
Thursday 13. At the harbour 11:00 to 17:00: castles and foam party 11:00 to 14:00, Son Canarias 12:00 to 14:00, DJ ChrisG 14:00 to 17:00. At 20:00 on the Plaza del Llano, a Variety Festival with the strings, song and dance section of Asociación Tíngara de Alcalá, Parranderos de Tagara, Parranda Chasnera, comedy from Gran Yanely and Yuli y su Mariachi. Then a variety night with Chema Rivas, DJ Chris Hernández and Orquesta Wamampy.
Friday 14. Church open 09:00 to 20:00. At the harbour 11:00 to 17:00: castles and foam party, DJ Chris Hernández, Kitto and DJ Javi Plasencia. At 19:00, Mass for all the village's dead. At 20:00, The Rave Kulture with DJ Jonay, Avero, Krüger, Obscene, Frequenzy, Master Pasha (UK), Reaja Monteiro (Lifeline) UK, Yasmin Khan (live PA), Beat Creator, Carlos Duende and Ventor de la Guardia on percussion.
Saturday 15, the patron saint's day. 07:00 the church opens and pilgrims are received. 10:00 solemn Mass in honour of Nuestra Señora la Virgen de Candelaria, led by Father Omar Martín Vargas and sung by Parranderos de Tagara. Then the procession to the harbour, where Eli Mendoza sings the Ave María, and the sea procession visiting neighbouring villages, with DJ David Pérez at the harbour. At 22:00, the image leaves the church in procession to the harbour with Asociación Folclórica Chácaras y Tambores Garajonay, a musical offering by Parranderos de Tagara and the Tíngara dance school, closing with the firework display designed by Marco A. Toste and staged by Pirotecnia Jordi Tenerife. Big dance with Orquesta Maquinaria Band, Arodi Llanos and Orquesta Sabrosa paying tribute to Juan Luis Guerra.
Sunday 16. Church open 09:00 to 19:00. 10:00 adult open-water swim and 11:00 children's swim, organised by the sports department of Guía de Isora town council, entries at canaryrun.com. 12:00 the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. 13:00 to 19:00, the second Gran Festival Atlántico Vibes Fest with DJ Wes, Arodi Llanos, Belén Jurado and Ray Castellano. 18:15 rosary. 19:00 Mass and procession with a firework display. 23:00 Pepe Benavente and Soul Sanet.
