Chilean Culture and Food Fair in the Plaza del Adelantado (Campus América 2026)verified
The Plaza del Adelantado, in the historic centre of La Laguna, hosts the Chilean Culture and Food Fair of Campus América 2026 on Saturday 24 October from 12:00, with the Association of Chileans in the Canary Islands: live music including the Chilean cueca, children's workshops, tastings of Chilean wines and products, food and craft stalls and a concert by the folk group La Teruka.
The Chilean Culture and Food Fair «Campus América» opens a day devoted to Chile to the public in the Plaza del Adelantado, in the heart of the historic centre of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, in collaboration with the cultural group of the Association of Chileans in the Canary Islands (ASCULCHICAN). There are live music performances, including the cueca, Chile's national dance, children's workshops, tastings of Chilean wines and products and a display and sale of food and crafts, plus a concert by the Chilean folk group «La Teruka», which according to the programme closes the fair.
The fair is on Saturday 24 October 2026 from 12:00. The university agenda gives 12:00 to 18:00, while the Campus América programme extends it to 21:30, so it is worth checking the closing time. The day also includes guided walks around the historic centre, organised with the heritage department of La Laguna town council, and guided visits to the Campus América exhibitions in the nearby Casa Anchieta. The organisers do not give an admission price for the fair.
