Under the Efecto cinema banner, Vivir la tierra is screened. With his parents working in the city, ten-year-old Chuang is being raised by the rest of the family in his home village. Surrounded by uncles, aunts and grandparents, he lives through a turbulent time of births, weddings, funerals and many changes, while thousands of years of rural tradition collide with China's progress in the early 1990s.
The hall has 200 seats and tickets cost €4.50; ticket sales open soon. The screening is on Wednesday 14 October 2026 at 19:00 at Yelmo Cines Las Arenas in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Gran Canaria) and ends at around 20:45.
