On 25 February 2027 at 11:00 Avenida Francisco La Roche hosts the Carnaval Inclusivo, one of the street events of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival. Its point is to open the festival to people who tend to be left out of the biggest crowds, with a morning format in a wide, flat space. The avenue runs alongside the port on the capital's seafront and is the usual axis for carnival parades and stages. The morning slot helps: there is less crush than at the night-time events and the temperature is easier to handle.
Because it happens on a public street, you can reach it straight from the centre on foot or from the nearby bus and tram stops. The avenue surface is smooth and broad, which makes moving around with a wheelchair or a pushchair much simpler. On carnival days the whole port area has road closures and diversions, so arriving by public transport saves unnecessary detours. Anyone looking for a calm first taste of the capital's carnival will find a quieter version here than the nights at the Recinto Ferial.
The theme of the 2027 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival is “Roma Eterna: El Imperio del Carnaval” (Eternal Rome: the Empire of Carnival). Forty years on, the carnival returns to Rome, the 1987 theme and the first to give the whole celebration a single look and story.
