Famaraíso
Famaraíso is a paragliding company based at Famara, on the north coast of Lanzarote, within the municipality of Teguise. Its main activity is tandem flights with a professional pilot over the volcanoes and the ocean, and it also gives training for anyone who wants to fly solo. When there is too much wind to fly, the team teaches kitesurfing instead, and flights are booked on the company website.

A flight starts with a form and the conditions of transport; then comes a walk of a few minutes up to the launch site, where the pilot hands over the helmet, fits the passenger harness and lays out the wing. Take-off happens on foot, walking forward until the feet leave the ground, and the landing is usually settled standing up. Photos and videos can be downloaded to a phone on the spot or sent afterwards by link. The company holds an active tourism licence, sells gift cards, also runs accommodation of its own next to Famara beach and prefers to answer enquiries over WhatsApp.
