Excursiones Pura Vida
Excursiones Pura Vida sails from Puerto de Vueltas, in Valle Gran Rey, on a traditional boat adapted for cetacean watching and capped at ten guests per outing. The programme has three strands: cetacean watching, the route to the Los Órganos natural monument, and private charter for couples, families or groups. The company works in Spanish, English and German.

The company flies the barco azul blue boat flag, which certifies a respectful approach to this activity, and displays its membership of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism. Boats close in only a few miles offshore, with the engines almost switched off and a careful choice of music, so that the animals are not disturbed.
The waters off La Gomera hold more than twenty cetacean species, among them the resident tropical pilot whale, the bottlenose dolphin, the spotted dolphin, the sperm whale and several rorquals, along with sea turtles. The outing ends with a stop near the coast for a swim, with fruit, snacks and drinks on board. Places are booked in advance.
