Parroquia de San Gines
17th-century church in the heart of Arrecife, with a wooden ceiling.

The parish of San Gines is the main church of Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote, and is dedicated to the town's patron saint. Its origins date back to the late 16th century, with later remodelling. The interior, of three naves divided by columns, stands out for its Mudejar-style wooden ceiling and a simple, peaceful atmosphere. Set beside a small square and the San Gines lagoon, it is a landmark of the old quarter.
