Sendero La Laguna Grande - Mirador de Igualero
Crossing from the La Laguna Grande recreation area to the Igualero viewpoint, with views of the Fortaleza de Chipude.

This trail links the well-known La Laguna Grande recreation area, in the heart of Garajonay, with the Igualero viewpoint in the south of the island. The route mixes laurel forest with more open stretches of tree heath and pine as it loses altitude towards the south.
It is a moderately demanding crossing of decent length, comfortable to walk and well oriented. Its final stretch is dominated by the view of the Fortaleza de Chipude, the great rocky mesa that presides over southern Gomera's landscape. A point-to-point route suited to hikers with some stamina.
