Sendero de La Llanía (Fuente de la Llanía - Hoya de Fireba - La Mareta)
Circular trail through the lush laurel forest of El Hierro's uplands, with viewpoints over the El Golfo valley.
La Llanía is one of El Hierro's most loved trails. For almost its entire length it runs in the shade of a laurel and heath forest, where moss coats the trunks and stones and the trade-wind moisture keeps everything green all year.
The route is circular and offers three lengths depending on how far you want to walk. It passes the Llanía and Fireba viewpoints, perched above the Hoya depression and the El Golfo valley, with views of the sea and the Nisdafe plateau. It is a moderate, comfortable and well-marked hike.
