Playa de Meloneras
A small cove of fine sand at the western end of Maspalomas, in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, linked to Playa de Maspalomas by a promenade from the lighthouse.

Playa de Meloneras is a small cove of fine sand at the western edge of the Maspalomas resort area, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana in southern Gran Canaria. A well-kept seafront promenade links it with Playa de Maspalomas, starting at the Faro de Maspalomas and the Boulevard del Faro, so the beach can be reached on foot from the lighthouse. It is a quiet stretch, favoured above all by people looking for rest, and the Cabildo's official tourism site describes it as the beach where the counter resets to zero, singling out its sunsets.
The promenade that connects it to Maspalomas is used daily by runners, and the avenue behind the beach gathers much of what the south of the island offers: spas, golf courses and luxury hotels alongside terraces, restaurants with sea views, live music and shops. That makes it a natural end to a walk, or a mid-afternoon stop before the sun goes down. Being a small cove, the sand is limited compared with neighbouring Maspalomas.
