Playa de Esquinzo
A wide golden-sand beach on the Jandía peninsula in southern Fuerteventura, quieter than its neighbours Sotavento and El Matorral.

Playa de Esquinzo stretches along the Jandía peninsula in the municipality of Pájara, part of the great arc of golden sands that defines southern Fuerteventura. It is a broad beach open to the Atlantic, backed by dunes and low sandstone cliffs, with turquoise-toned water that invites a swim on calm-sea days.
Its size and its position away from the busier hubs mean it usually feels less crowded than nearby Sotavento or El Matorral, making it an appealing choice for anyone after space and quiet. The area's steady wind is a gift for kitesurfing and windsurfing, though it is worth bearing in mind when picking a spot, and bringing your own shade and sun protection is sensible, as the surroundings are very open.
