Piscinas Naturales de Playa de los Charcos
Cluster of crystal-clear rock pools and lagoons near El Cotillo, formed by volcanic stone walls that create shallow pools ideal for bathing and snorkelling.

The natural pools of Playa de los Charcos stretch along the north-west coast of Fuerteventura, at Caleta del Marrajo near El Cotillo. Volcanic rock traces small coves and walls that, at low tide, leave shallow lagoons of clear turquoise water among the pale sand.
The calm, shallow water makes it a favourite for family bathing and snorkelling, with good visibility. The final approach is along an unpaved track and there are no facilities, so it is worth coming prepared and checking the state of the tide.
