Basâlto Casas Rurales
A group of five rural houses in Hermigua, on the Ibo Alfaro road, let individually and split into two categories, Premium and Standard. All of them are equipped for full stays, whether with family, as a couple, on your own or working remotely. Hermigua is one of the greenest valleys on La Gomera and acts as a natural gateway to the Garajonay National Park and to the island's northern coast.

The houses come in two levels, two Premium units and three Standard ones, each booked on its own. The idea is a quiet base to walk out from: the Hermigua valley climbs between banana terraces and palms up to the edge of the laurel forest, and from there the paths head into the Garajonay National Park, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site.
Nearby are the Mirador de Abrante, with its platform projecting out over Agulo, and Agulo itself, one of the most photographed villages on La Gomera. The island also keeps the silbo gomero, the whistled language recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage, which is still taught in local schools. The hosts pass on information about footpaths, places worth seeing and local car hire firms, which helps, because the north of the island is best covered by car.
