Santa Rita open-air dance in Araya with the Acapulco and Wamampy bandsverified
On Saturday 24 October at 22:30, after the procession and the fireworks, the Plaza de Araya (Candelaria) holds the Santa Rita verbena, an open-air dance with the Acapulco and Wamampy bands. It is the big dance night of the festivities, in the village square, closing the main day of Santa Rita. The Santa Rita festivities run from 16 to 25 October, and almost the whole programme takes place in the village square.
On Saturday 24 October 2026 at 22:30, the Plaza de Araya hosts the Santa Rita verbena, right after the procession and fireworks of the main day.
The music is played by the Acapulco and Wamampy bands. It is part of the 2026 Santa Rita festivities in Araya (Candelaria), running from 16 to 25 October and organised by the Araya festival committee with the support of the A.C. Chaxacoy.
