Transvulcania Bike 2026: stage 3, El Pasoverified
The third stage of the Transvulcania Bike 2026 starts on Saturday 14 November at 10:00 from El Paso town and finishes there too. The organisers highlight its many trails through central La Palma: Tacande, the Montaña de Enrique, El Pilar, Pared Vieja, the Minibirigoyo and Las Pernadas, with a final climb up the Valencia track. The long course is 48 km and the short one 28 km.
The El Paso stage is the third of the four stages of the Transvulcania Bike 2026, held on La Palma from 12 to 15 November, and the organisers present it as a true mountain bike stage because of the many trails in the centre of the island. It leaves the centre of El Paso for the Tacande district and climbs on roads and old royal paths between hamlets and grazing land to the Montaña de Enrique, skirts the Montaña de Tacande on a sandy trail and climbs to El Pilar before descending Pared Vieja, a cobbled path through pine and laurel forest. It then climbs to the Llano de las Moscas and descends the Minibirigoyo, a trail restored by cyclists, climbs back to El Pilar via El Rehielo and drops down several trails towards Las Pernadas; the final part crosses old paths once used for livestock and ends with a last climb up the Valencia track and the descent into El Paso.
The long course covers 48 km with 1,850 m of climbing, with aid stations twice at El Pilar and at Las Canales; the short one 28 km and 1,000 m, with an aid station at Las Canales. Start and finish are in El Paso town. Programme for Saturday 14 November 2026: bib collection from 08:00 to 09:00, only for riders who could not collect it on Friday; technical service from 09:00 to 09:30; start pens form at 09:40 and the start is at 10:00.
