Medina started out in the early 1990s with companies such as Atalaya, TNT and the Centro Andaluz de Teatro, and recognition came when she teamed up with Joan Estrader in the comedy theatre company Pez en Raya; in 2014 she founded her own production company, LaMedinaEs.
She has also made music with her show A grito pelao and her band La Cristi & los que vengan, and in 2017 she starred with Santiago Molero in ¡Ay, Carmela!, directed by Fernando Soto.
