“Las paredes hablan” is the documentary in which Carlos Saura offers an unusual perspective on the origin of art. Through his personal lens, together with his brother Pedro Saura, an expert in Palaeolithic art, and the artist Miquel Barceló, he portrays the evolution of art and its relationship with the wall as a blank canvas to create on. The film travels through time, from the first graphic revolutions in prehistoric caves to the most avant-garde expressions of urban art, with artists such as Musa 71 and Suso 33.
The screening is part of the Urban Art Days series of Fundación CajaCanarias and takes place at the Espacio Cultural CajaCanarias La Palma on Plaza de España in Santa Cruz de La Palma. Limited capacity, free entry. Tuesday 27 October 2026, at 19:00.
