Parade and concert by six Tenerife wind bands in Los Cristianosverified
Six wind bands from different municipalities of Tenerife parade through Los Cristianos and then give a joint concert in the church square on Sunday 15 November 2026 at 17:00. Taking part are bands from Icod de los Vinos, Candelaria, La Victoria de Acentejo, Santiago del Teide and Tejina, together with the Banda de Música de Arona. Admission is open to all until the venue is full.
The Municipal Culture Board of Arona Town Council brings six bands from different municipalities of Tenerife to Los Cristianos, as a sign of the diversity and vitality of the island's wind band movement: the A.M.C. José Manuel Cabrera Mejías from Icod de los Vinos, the C.C.M. Las Candelas from Candelaria, the A.M. La Victoria de Acentejo, the Banda de Música Santiago del Teide, the A.C.M. Crearte, Unión Musical de Tejina, and the Banda de Música de Arona. They first parade through the streets and then play together in a concert in the church square of Los Cristianos.
The host band grew out of the music academy that Arona Town Council set up in 1985, with classes in music theory, piano, wind and percussion; in 1987 the academy became a branch of the Conservatorio Superior de Música of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and the band gave its first concert on 18 December 1988. Since then it has played in concert series, festivals and band competitions in and outside the municipality. Admission is free with limited capacity, and the event takes place on Sunday 15 November 2026 at 17:00.
