With Nerantzi, Santiago Auserón sets out on a new artistic venture that crosses musical and cultural borders to approach the musical world of Greece. After decades exploring rock, Cuban son, rhythm & blues, jazz and roots music, the artist from Zaragoza, founder of Radio Futura and later a solo artist under the name Juan Perro, delves into the Hellenic tradition alongside bouzouki master Vaggelis Tzeretas and singer and guitarist Theodoros Karellas, a performer of contemporary rebetiko.
Nerantzi brings together original songs and Spanish-language adaptations of 20th-century classics linked to rebetiko and Greek song, music born of collective experience, migration and shared emotion. The concert is part of the Otoño Cultural CajaCanarias 2026, and tickets are sold online. It takes place at the Espacio Cultural CajaCanarias on Plaza del Patriotismo in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Friday 6 November 2026 at 20:00.
