The Farmers' and Crafts Market of Barlovento, in the north of La Palma, dedicates its November edition to Saint Martin. Alongside the usual stalls with fresh local produce, pastries, wine and crafts, there are roasted chestnuts with bacon, and La Cernícala sells apples and offers cider tasting. At 12:30 the traditional Jura de la Pipa, the ceremonial opening of the new wine barrel, is led by Juan Ángel Brito González and his grandchildren, and the Parranda El Lagar performs.
The market takes place on Sunday 8 November 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00, on the market square (plaza del Mercadillo) in Barlovento. Every purchase enters a prize draw for lots of chestnuts and market produce. During the morning, the prize for the San Martín 2026 poster competition and the diplomas for the students of the Manolo Blahnik Art School are also presented.
