Since the publication of Juegos de la edad tardía in 1989, Landero has built a body of work marked by the richness of its language, the psychological depth of its characters and an outlook that combines irony, emotion and reflection on the human condition.
His titles include Caballeros de fortuna, El guitarrista, Retrato de un hombre inmaduro, Absolución and Lluvia fina; his novels often explore the gap between dreams and reality, memory, the passing of time and the search for identity.
