Keroxen Lanzarote: Waq Waq Kingdom & Kalma at Cueva de los Verdesverified
Electronics, Japanese tradition and real-time visuals at the Cueva de los Verdes Auditorium. Waq Waq Kingdom blend minyo, traditional Japanese music, with dancehall, footwork, dub and techno, while audiovisual artist Kalma generates the images live. Electronics, Japanese tradition and real-time visual creation: Waq Waq Kingdom & Kalma come to the Cueva de los Verdes Auditorium in Haría as part of KRXN LZT, the extension through which Keroxen Festival brings its 2026 programme to Lanzarote, with four dates at Cueva de los Verdes between October and November. Waq Waq Kingdom build their sound from minyo, traditional Japanese music, in dialogue with Jamaican dancehall, footwork, dub and techno; behind the project are Shigeru Ishihara, also known as DJ Scotch Egg, and singer and composer Kiki Hitomi.
The visual side is by Kalma, a Berlin-based audiovisual artist who works with real-time processes, generative visuals and projection mapping, so that sound and image are built at the same time. The show lasts 60 minutes and tickets cost €20. The concert is on Friday 23 October 2026 at 20:00.
