The finalists come through four earlier rounds staged from 1 to 4 February at the same venue, competing with satirical lyrics about current affairs, their own costumes and full staging.
The jury awards prizes for performance, presentation and lyrics. The Recinto Ferial de Tenerife is on Calle Alcalde José Emilio García Gómez s/n, 38005 Santa Cruz de Tenerife, next to the Parque Marítimo on the capital's seafront avenue. The 2027 carnival is built around the theme Roma Eterna: El Imperio del Carnaval.
