Fiestas del Santísimo Cristo del Lomo Coloradoverified
Five days of popular and religious fiestas in the Lomo Colorado neighbourhood of Tacoronte, with a young people's night, a children's festival, the procession of the Santísimo Cristo, a tribute band and a closing verbena.
The Asociación de Festejos Amigos del Lomo Colorado, together with the town's Fiestas department, has put together five days of popular and religious events from 6 to 10 August around the venerated image of the Santísimo Cristo del Lomo Colorado.
The programme opens on Thursday the 6th at 21:00 with a young people's night led by Yera Waque and DJ Wes. Saturday's neighbourhood lunch, with the Nuestra Señora del Carmen and Viñátigos Centenarios folk groups, leads into a verbena with the band Primera Marcha in the neighbourhood square.
Saturday starts with bouncy castles, face painting and a motorbike meet, followed by a children's festival from 17:00 with magician Sergio Dion. In the afternoon comes the Mass and the procession of the Santísimo Cristo del Lomo Colorado and Nuestra Señora del Carmen, with the AM Santa Cecilia music band and the Hermandad del Santísimo Cristo de los Dolores de Tacoronte. After the route along calle El Calvario to La Era, with singing by Moisés Neri and fireworks, there is dancing with Orquesta Swing Latino.
The 9th and 10th close the fiestas with a singles v married football match, a water and foam party, the variety show «Volando voy» by Nieves Bravo and Javier Peña, a Fito & Fitipaldis tribute, a gymkhana, the Envite card final and a verbena with Grupo La Calle.
