Festivities of Santa Teresa de Jesús and San Jerónimo in Guaza: dances, procession with fireworks and children's dayverified
Guaza, in Arona, celebrates its festivities in honour of Santa Teresa de Jesús and San Jerónimo on the Plaza El Madrigal from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October. On Friday and Saturday there is a big dance at 23:00 with Pasión Gomera and Sensación Gomera; on Saturday, mass at 20:00 and a procession with fireworks at 20:30; on Sunday, children's day at 11:00 and a shared paella at 14:00.
Guaza, in the municipality of Arona, celebrates its festivities in honour of Santa Teresa de Jesús and San Jerónimo from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October 2026, with the Plaza El Madrigal as the main venue. There are fair stalls, dances with live bands, a procession with fireworks and a children's day.
Friday 23 October: at 19:00 the fair stalls open; at 23:00, a big dance with the bands Pasión Gomera and Sensación Gomera on the Plaza El Madrigal. Saturday 24 October: at 19:00 the fair stalls open; at 20:00, mass and an offering for all the deceased of the village on the Plaza El Madrigal; at 20:30, the procession in honour of Santa Teresa de Jesús and San Jerónimo with the Banda de Música de Arona and a big fireworks display, via the Plaza El Madrigal, Calle Almorejo, Calle Tinaja, Calle Salitre, Calle Lomo de la Fuente, Calle Piquera, Calle Almorta, Avenida Guaza and Calle Santa Teresa, ending back on the square; at 23:00, a big dance with Sensación Gomera and Pasión Gomera. Sunday 25 October: at 11:00 the fair stalls open and the children's day starts, with bouncy castles and more surprises; at 14:00, a paella to share with the neighbours on the Plaza El Madrigal.
