San Rafael Fiestas 2026 in Vecindarioverified
From 16 October to 1 November 2026, Vecindario celebrates the San Rafael Fiestas with more than fifty activities organised by the Santa Lucía de Tirajana town council. The Plaza de San Rafael, the Plaza de Los Algodoneros, the Avenida de Canarias and the Recinto Ferial host Canarian music, open-air dances, sport, children's activities, the Romería Ofrenda pilgrimage and a concert by Braulio. Antonio Arbelo González gives the festival speech.
The San Rafael Fiestas fill Vecindario, in the Gran Canaria municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, from Friday 16 October to Sunday 1 November 2026. The Santa Lucía de Tirajana town council has put together more than fifty activities across the Plaza de San Rafael, the Plaza de Los Algodoneros, the Avenida de Canarias, the Recinto Ferial fairground and several parks and squares around town: Canarian music, urban beats for young people, dances for older residents, children's attractions, comedy and traditions such as the Romería Ofrenda pilgrimage on Saturday 24 October, San Rafael's feast day.
This year's festival speech, titled “Los recuerdos que nos unen” (The memories that bind us), is given by Antonio Arbelo González. Highlights include Braulio's concert at the Recinto Ferial, the procession with the saint through the streets, the pyromusical show and Shaila Dúrcal's concert on 1 November in the Plaza de San Rafael; the main events are listed separately in the agenda. The opening, with the raising of the flags in front of the parish church, is on Friday 16 October 2026 at 19:30 in the Plaza de San Rafael.
