Main feast of San Rafael: Mass and processionverified
Sunday 25 October is the main feast of San Rafael in Vecindario. After the 12:00 Mass at the Arcángel San Rafael parish church, on the square that bears his name, the image of the saint is carried in procession through the streets of the town. It is the part of the main feast that happens out in the street, during fiestas that fill Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria, with events until 1 November.
From 16 October to 1 November, Vecindario in Santa Lucía de Tirajana (Gran Canaria) celebrates the San Rafael Fiestas, with religious events, music, sport and activities for all ages in honour of the archangel. Sunday the 25th is the main feast day.
After Mass at the Arcángel San Rafael parish church on Plaza de San Rafael, the saint is carried in procession through the streets of the town. For visitors, this is the chance to see the image outside the church and to follow it on its route through Vecindario. Mass begins on Sunday 25 October 2026 at 12:00, and the procession sets off straight afterwards.
