Sunday 25 October, the main feast day of San Rafael in Vecindario, begins with a livestock fair and show beside the Recinto Ferial: prizes for cattle, goats, sheep and horses, and a parade of every participating category in front of the saint. The San Rafael Fiestas fill Vecindario, in the Gran Canaria municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, with popular events in honour of the archangel from 16 October to 1 November. Sunday the 25th is the main feast day, and its morning is given over to the countryside and its animals.
Beside the Recinto Ferial a livestock fair and show takes place, with prizes for cattle, goats, sheep and horses; animals entering the competition must be registered on site before 10:00. All participating categories parade in front of the saint, and during the morning Calle Isla de La Graciosa hosts the Concurso de Arrastre, with the support of the council's primary sector department and the FEDAC of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.
