San Rafael's Day: Mass and procession with the saint through the streets of Vecindarioverified
On Saturday 24 October, San Rafael's feast day, the statue of the saint is carried in procession through the streets of Vecindario. It follows a Mass at the parish church in the Plaza de San Rafael, with an offering by the youngest members of the community, led by Rev. Juan Jesús García Morales, episcopal vicar of Las Palmas. In the evening, the celebrations continue with the Romería Ofrenda.
Saturday 24 October is San Rafael's feast day, and Vecindario celebrates by taking the saint out onto the streets. The procession with the statue of the Archangel winds through the town from the Parroquia del Arcángel San Rafael, on the square that bears his name.
