Contest of the carnival dance groups, part of the official programme of the Carnaval de Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2027. The agrupaciones coreográficas compete on the indoor stage of the Recinto Ferial de Tenerife on 24 January 2027 at 17:00.
The Concurso de Agrupaciones Coreográficas is part of the official programme of the Carnaval de Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2027. It takes place on 24 January 2027 at 17:00 at the Recinto Ferial de Tenerife, on Calle Alcalde José Emilio García Gómez, and is one of the first competitions of the season, two days after the Inauguración.
The agrupaciones coreográficas are the dance groups of the carnival. They compete on the covered main stage of the Recinto Ferial, each with its own choreography, its own music and its own costumes, in the contest format that opens the capital's carnival season.
The theme of the 2027 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival is “Roma Eterna: El Imperio del Carnaval” (Eternal Rome: the Empire of Carnival). Forty years on, the carnival returns to Rome, the 1987 theme and the first to give the whole celebration a single look and story.
