Carme Canela and Jurandir Dã Silva: Celebrating La Fusa, Tensamba 2026verified
As part of the 23rd Tensamba Festival, jazz singer Carme Canela and Brazilian guitarist Jurandir Dã Silva present Celebrating La Fusa at the Casino de La Laguna. The duo revisits Vinicius de Moraes en La Fusa, recorded in Buenos Aires in 1970 with Maria Creuza and Toquinho, with songs such as “Garota de Ipanema” and a reading open to ijexá, samba de roda and jazz.
Celebrating La Fusa brings together Carme Canela on vocals and Jurandir Dã Silva on guitar. The jazz singer and the Brazilian guitarist revisit Vinicius de Moraes en La Fusa, the album recorded in Buenos Aires in 1970 with Maria Creuza and Toquinho, in an intimate journey through songs such as “Lamento no Morro”, “Samba em Prelúdio”, “Eu sei que vou te amar” and “Garota de Ipanema”, among others.
Rather than reproducing the original album, the duo offers its own reading, open to Afro-Brazilian rhythms, ijexá, samba de roda and the influence of jazz. Jurandir Dã Silva, a guitarist, composer and musical director from Salvador de Bahia, has more than thirty years of international career behind him. The concert is part of the 23rd Tensamba Festival. Tickets from €12. The concert is on Saturday 31 October 2026 at 20:30 at the Casino de La Laguna.
