Mirador de Izcagua

Mirador de Izcagua stands in the El Pinar area of Puntagorda, in the north-west of La Palma, right beside the Mercadillo del Agricultor farmers' market. The website of the La Palma Biosphere Reserve presents it as a set of floating viewpoints: walkways edged with glass railings that reach out over the ravine and give a sensation of flight. It is reached by car from the village centre heading north, along the camino del Pinar.

Mirador de Los Dragos

A viewpoint in the El Roque neighbourhood of Puntagorda, in north-western La Palma. A huge, emblematic dragon tree presides over the spot and gives it its name, and from here a magnificent view opens over the Barranco de El Roque. An old camino real runs right alongside, one of the tracks that linked the hamlets before today's roads existed. A small car park at the base makes it an easy stop on a drive through the municipality.
