Casa de los Coroneles
17th-century crenellated palace in La Oliva, once home to the colonels who ruled Fuerteventura and now a cultural landmark of the island's north.

Casa de los Coroneles in La Oliva (Fuerteventura) is an 18th-century manor house that served as the official residence of the coronelato, the military power that ruled the island. Today it is a multi-purpose cultural centre run by the Canary Islands Government and one of the archipelago's most emblematic historic monuments.
The building stands out for its imposing structure, its two towers (east and west) with interior staircases and its remarkable ceilings. The programme includes temporary exhibitions, workshops and educational activities, concerts and the Ruta de los Coroneles, a historic walk through La Oliva.
