Yulianna Avdeevaverified
The Auditorio de Tenerife programmes a recital by Yulianna Avdeeva in the Sala de Cámara, part of the piano concerts of the Ciclo de Cámara, under the title J. S. Bach: Clave bien temperado (vol. I). The pianist, First Prize winner of the 2010 International Chopin Piano Competition, works through the twenty-four preludes and fugues from BWV 846 to BWV 869 in a single evening. Tickets cost 15 €.
Yulianna Avdeeva devotes her recital to the first volume of Johann Sebastian Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier: the twenty-four preludes and fugues from BWV 846 to BWV 869, played from beginning to end in a single evening and split into two halves by an interval. The cycle moves key by key, from the opening C major to the closing B minor, and lets one hear how Bach turns an idea of order into a catalogue of sharply different characters. The concert is part of the piano concerts of the Ciclo de Cámara at the Auditorio de Tenerife.
Avdeeva won First Prize at the 2010 International Chopin Piano Competition, the contest that launched her international career, and she now appears regularly at the Warsaw Philharmonic, Prague's Rudolfinum, the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Her PENTATONE albums include Resilience, Chopin: Voyage and a complete recording of Shostakovich's Op. 87. The Tenerife recital takes place on Tuesday 20 April 2027 at 19:30 in the Sala de Cámara of the Auditorio de Tenerife, with tickets at 15 €; the Pianísimo 2026-2027 subscription gives a 25 % discount on the season's eight concerts.
