Viva México 2026: Mexican fair with mariachi, Ballet Viva México and El Gomerito in Breña Altaverified
Viva México returns to Breña Alta on Saturday 17 October from 17:00 in the Plaza Bujaz: an afternoon of Mexican culture with a food and drink cantina, mariachi, live music, Ballet Viva México, a Catrina contest and a tribute to Vicente Fernández. For children there are bouncy castles, inflatables and a mechanical bull, plus Mexican crafts and raffles.
Breña Alta once again celebrates Viva México, a fair that brings Mexican music, food and crafts to La Palma and recalls the ties between the Canary Islands and Mexico, linked for centuries by emigration, family bonds and cultural exchange. It is organised by the Breña Alta town council and Colmexcan, with support from the Government of the Canary Islands and the Canary Institute for Cultural Development.
The fair takes place on Saturday 17 October 2026 from 17:00 in the Plaza Bujaz, with a cantina serving Mexican food and drink, bouncy castles, inflatables, a mechanical bull, Mexican crafts and raffles.
