Ópera de Tenerife gives Orlando on two evenings in the Sala Sinfónica of the Auditorio de Tenerife, and this is the second of them. George Frideric Handel's opera is sung in Italian, with Spanish and English surtitles, and shares the roles between Xavier Sabata, Emöke Baráth, Sabina Puértolas and Anna Bonitatibus. At its centre stands a soldier whose surroundings demand heroism, firmness and control while he breaks apart inside, between love, suffering and madness.
