Dramatised reading: La Coreana - SeaSea Producciones companyverified
Through its Theatre Writing Laboratory, the Canarias Escribe Teatro initiative presents a dramatised reading of ‘La Coreana’ by Carla Verona, performed by SeaSea Producciones. The text deals with the mysterious disappearance of Elena and the demons haunting her husband, Sergio, who seven years later finds a pretext to try to uncover the truth. Ages 12 and up, about 60 minutes. Free entry.
Seven years after the disappearance of Elena, whose car was found at the bottom of a cliff, Sergio, her husband and a former philosophy teacher, bursts into Manuel’s traditional shoe shop with a pair of red high heels he bought his wife shortly before. What begins as an absurd attempt at a return turns into an obsessive search to reconstruct, with Manuel’s help, Elena’s last days.
Directed by Jon Arráez and Marta Fuentes, who read the text together with Miguel Ángel Marcial. Admission is free. The reading is at Teatro Guiniguada in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on Saturday 24 October 2026 at 19:00.
