The fiestas of the Santa María del Mar neighbourhood in Santa Cruz de Tenerife run from 25 to 27 September at Plaza del Parque La Estrella. Friday brings the Gran Musical with Los Cantadores and the Noche Joven; Saturday a radio control exhibition, the gala where the queens are chosen and a verbena with Orquesta Columbia and Maquinaria Band; Sunday a water party, a sung mass, the procession through the barrio and a fireworks display.
The Santa María del Mar neighbourhood holds its fiestas from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September, with Plaza del Parque La Estrella as the centre of everything. Three days organised by the AA VV Ciudad Satélite and the neighbourhood festivities committee, with music at night, the gala where the queens of the fiestas are chosen, a water party for families and the religious closing on Sunday.
Friday 25 opens with the Gran Musical featuring Los Cantadores, from 20:30 to 22:30, followed by the Noche Joven with Renzzo El Selector, from 23:00 to 00:30. Saturday 26 brings a radio control exhibition from 16:00 to 19:00, the gala where the queens of the fiestas are chosen from 20:00 to 22:30, and the gran verbena with Orquesta Columbia and Maquinaria Band from 23:00 to 03:00. Sunday 27 has the Gran Fiesta Acuática from 10:00 to 14:00, the neighbours gathering at 14:00, the sung mass with the Grupo Folclórico Chacerquén at 19:30, the procession through the streets of the barrio at 20:30 and the fireworks display at 21:45.
