El fantasma de la ópera comes to the Auditorio de Tenerife on the national tour of the Letsgo production, which is travelling around Spain after two seasons in Madrid; the Auditorio website says the cast will be announced shortly. The synopsis sums it up as a story of love, death and disaster between a musical genius living hidden in the depths of a theatre and Christine, a young woman with an exceptional voice who discovers what lies behind the mask.

The music is by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics by Charles Hart, additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe and a libretto by Stilgoe and Lloyd Webber based on the novel by Gaston Leroux. The musical is performed entirely in Spanish, and the photosensitivity notice warns of smoke machines and strobe effects. This is the later of the two performances on 27 December and starts at 20:30 in the Sala Sinfónica, tickets from 54 euros.
