This is the first of the ten performances the tour gives at the Auditorio de Tenerife, and it opens the run. The Letsgo production reaches Tenerife after two seasons in Madrid, and the cast is to be announced. The music is by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics by Charles Hart and additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe, based on the novel by Gaston Leroux.
The story follows a musical genius who lives hidden in the depths of a theatre and Christine, a young woman with a celestial voice who discovers the terror behind his mask. Federico Bellone's staging is built around a giant broken mirror that serves as the curtain and reveals the proscenium of a Paris opera house. The performance is given in Spanish and lasts 2 hours 30 minutes with an interval.
